2024 Spirit walk

Temple Hill Cemetery’s 2024 Spirit Walk will highlight the history of Geneseo’s tradespeople and their connections to downtown businesses today.  Community members of all ages are invited to take a moonlit stroll through historic Temple Hill Cemetery to learn about the people who shaped the early business community of Geneseo. Tour leaders will guide groups by lantern light to the various grave sites. Local actors will portray “spirits” who will bring to life the history and anecdotes of these notable tradespeople.  Tours will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the final tour group will depart at 8:15 p.m. Suggested donations for the event are $5 per person or $20 per family. Cash, check, or Venmo are accepted. Guests will finish the tour with cider and donuts. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate attire.  Rain date is Sunday, September 15th.
